Whether the ongoing restrictions on coronavirus control will remain in place during the Eid holidays depends on the corona situation, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said.
“The situation will tell whether there will be ongoing restrictions before Eid or not. The ongoing 14-day restrictions will be monitored. However, there must be some restrictions. The infection increased due to travelers rush for home during last Eid. This time the government may ask you to celebrate Eid wherever you are,” said the state minister on Monday.
The state minister further said that this time the highest importance will be given to the digital sacrificial animals market.
“Arrangements will be made so that people can shop there without any hassle. There will be a combination of price and weight. And if you have to do physical hats, then they will be very controlled. Entrance and exit routes will be different. Health rules must be strictly adhered to. No one can enter outside a certain number of people.”
The government has extended the ongoing lockdown till midnight of July 14 by enhancing more seven days from July 7.
“The ongoing curb has been extended till July 14 midnight, increasing seven more days from July 7 midnight, considering the present worst novel corona virus situation,” the official release elaborated.
All the previous instructions will remain effective during the extended lockdown period.
Earlier, the government had decided to impose a nationwide weeklong complete lockdown from July 1.
