Rifat murder case This verdict to play vital role in establishing rule of law: Law Minister

Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque on Wednesday said that the verdict in the Rifat murder case would  would undeniably play an important role in establishing the rule of law.

“This verdict will leave an impact on other sensational cases in the country which will speed up their disposal,” he said.

The minister case up with the remarks while expressing his reaction after the verdict in Rifat’s murder case  was pronounced.

 

“Through the disposal of these sensational cases, I’m trying to discharge the responsibilities entrusted to me by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Particularly, the prosecution team  is playing a serious role in such kind of cases, which is praiseworthy,” the minister added.
Barguna District and Sessions Judge Md Asaduzzaman on Wednesday convicted Ayesha Siddika Minni and five others in the Rifat murder case and awarded them capital punishment

Rifat Sharif, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of his wife Minni in broad daylight in Barguna district town on June 26, 2019.
