Rifat murder: Minni’s bail prayer rejected

A Barguna court rejected the bail petition of Ayesha Siddiqua Minni, wife of Rifat Sharif, who was hacked to death in broad daylight in front of Barguna government college gate.
Md Sirajul Islam Gazi of Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate court denied the bail prayer when some lawyers prayed before the court on Sunday.
Earlier, Minni was put on five days remand on July 17.
Later on July 18, she confessed to her involvement in the murder of her husband Rifat Sharif.
She was shown arrested in the murder case on Tuesday night, hours after she was taken to Barguna Police Lines for quizzing over the murder of her husband.
A team of Barguna police went to her father’s house at Nowakata village under Barguna Sarad upazila and took her to the police lines around 10 am on Tuesday
