Rishab Shetty’s Kantara achieves yet another milestone at Hindi box office

Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara has emerged as a one-horse race at the Hindi box office. In a year that has seen the biggest Bollywood stars such as Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh fail in attracting the audience to theatres, the Kannada action-thriller is setting new records in its fourth week.

In a never-head-before feat, Kantara Hindi has recorded its highest single-day collection of Rs 4.50 crore on the fourth Sunday, i.e. day 24. Not just this, the Rishab written and directed film has also earned more in its fourth weekend than the first.

Featuring Sapthami Gowda as the female lead, Kantara Hindi has so far collected Rs 62.40 crore and is showing no signs of slowing down. It is expected to remain consistent over the next few days. Looking at its current trending, Kantara should easily breach the Rs 75 crore mark, which will be an extraordinary feat for a dubbed film.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the fourth-weekend collection of Kantara. He wrote, “#Kantara *#Hindi version* is not slowing down soon… A big, fat total is definitely on the cards… Weekend 4 [₹ 10.75 cr] is HIGHER than Weekend 1 [₹ 7.52 cr] and Weekend 2 [₹ 7.25 cr]… [Week 4] Fri 2.10 cr, Sat 4.15 cr, Sun 4.50 cr.
