Robber killed in Jessore ‘gunfight’

A suspected robber has been killed in a “gunfight” between two groups of criminal in the Sadar upzila’s Langarpur area early Tuesday.
The deceased is yet to be identified.
Confirming the news, Jessore Kotwali Police Station OC AKM Ajmal Huda said: “Two gangs of robbers engaged in a gunfight around 2:30am. Being informed, police rushed to the spot immediately, however, the robbers managed to flee the scene.
“Later, the law enforcers recovered the bullet-hit body of a robber,” he added.
