Saif Ali Khan stabbed multiple times in his own residence

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was admitted to Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital on Thursday after being stabbed at his Bandra residence in the early hours of the morning.

According to police, an unidentified intruder broke into the actor’s home, leading to a confrontation during which Saif was stabbed two to three times. Family members were present in the house at the time of the incident, officials said.

Mumbai Police have launched an investigation to track down and arrest the accused. “An unidentified person intruded into the residence of actor Saif Ali Khan. A fight ensued, during which the actor was injured. He is currently being treated in hospital, and the investigation is ongoing,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam while speaking to the media.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Leelavati Hospital, confirmed that Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an unidentified individual at his residence. He was brought to the hospital by his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, accompanied by a staff member. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Dr. Uttamani shared that Saif sustained six injuries, two of which are critical. One of the injuries is located near his spine, while another on his neck is still under assessment.

A statement released by Saif’s team confirmed the incident, requesting patience from fans and the media. “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is undergoing surgery at the hospital. This is a police matter, and updates will be shared as the situation develops,” the statement read.
