Shahid Kapoor refrains from commenting on Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor’s rumoured wedding

Rumour mills are currently abuzz about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s impending wedding. Even though Bhatts and Kapoors are tight-lipped about the wedding, reports of the wedding planning, guest list, outfits and other details are doing the rounds on the internet and how. Now, actor Shahid Kapoor, who has worked with Alia Bhatt in a few films, has said a little something about the rumoured wedding.

It so happened that the actor, in an interview with IndiaToday.in was asked what message he would want to convey to Alia, his co-star of Shaandaar and Udta Punjab, on her wedding with Ranbir. The Jersey actor, however, refused to comment on the marriage, adding, “I refrain to comment till there’s an official announcement. Till the time it’s media speculation, it’s a speculation.”

As per reports, Alia and Ranbir will get married on April 15. It was earlier being reported that the couple had decided on April 17 as their wedding date. Interestingly, fans had picked on the number 8 connection in the wedding date. Number 8 is Ranbir’s lucky number and Alia is often seen flaunting the number (and its interpretation as an infinity sign) in different ways. While there’s no confirmation on the wedding date yet, reports suggest the duo will get married at Vastu in Mumbai.

On Thursday, a video of a team checking the space at Vastu went viral. It was reported that it was the wedding team, who will be organising Alia and Ranbir’s wedding. Reportedly, Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor has already selected her outfit for D-day. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out, given that Alia and Ranbir’s wedding is one of the most talked-about affairs at the moment.
