Shahid Kapoor’s lip got ‘busted’ during Jersey shoot

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor went live on his Instagram, on Saturday (November 28), to thank his fans for the overwhelming response to the trailer of his upcoming film Jersey. The actor expressed gratitude for all the love coming his way and also interacted with fans. The Kabir Singh star also sang songs from the upcoming sports drama and left netizens impressed.

During the interaction, Shahid revealed that he ‘busted’ his lower lip during the shoot of the film and had to get 25 stitches. The actor said that he feared that he will never look the same again. He was answering a question about training with a seasoned ball. Revealing the details, Shahid shared, “I busted my lip on this film. My strongest memory of Jersey will be that I felt that I will never look the same again.” The incident apparently happened when the actor was prepping for the scenes without a helmet.

“(The ball) busted my lower lip and we actually had to stop shooting for two months because of that. I had to get some 25 stitches. It actually took three months for my lip to feel normal — it still doesn’t feel normal. There’s a part on my lip (giving fans a close look at it) which I feel like its dead. I can’t move it. So I’ve given my blood to this film,” he added.
