Shakib Khan facing visa complications
On October 20, the shooting for the joint production film “Dorod” between Bangladesh and India, began in Varanasi and Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, India. It was planned that Shakib Khan would participate in the shooting on that day. Prior to that, on October 15, he was supposed to go to Mumbai, India, but none of these plans came to fruition due to visa complications. Shakib Khan has not yet obtained the necessary work permit visa to enter India, so he couldn’t travel there for the shooting. When he will eventually go is still uncertain.
A source close to Shakib Khan has confirmed this. According to this source, it was indeed planned for the actor to go to India on October 15. However, due to visa complications, he was unable to travel. The exact date of his travel remains uncertain.
Khan’s entry into India from Bangladesh depends on obtaining the necessary visa. They have already applied to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in India for work permit visas for all the artists and crew members from Bangladesh, who are scheduled to work on the film. As of now, the required visa permissions have not been granted yet. They received the necessary permissions from the Indian government on October 20. The visa application has been sent from India, and they are hoping to obtain the work permit visa soon. Their office will open tomorrow, and the permission letter will be submitted to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. They are hopeful that the visa will be granted soon.
So, when will Shakib Khan suddenly travel to India? Producer Kamal Kibria stated, “Now we will submit the visa application to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in India. After that, the Information Ministry will examine it for visa approval. Hopefully, we will receive the work permit visa this week.”
Meanwhile, the film’s Bangladeshi director, Anonno Mamun, is currently in Mumbai, India, and mentioned that getting visas for the artists and crew members from Bangladesh is crucial for shooting in Uttar Pradesh. She said, “To shoot in Uttar Pradesh, we need to obtain permission from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Casting, Delhi, India. We received it on October 20. After submitting the permission letter to the Ministry in Bangladesh, the work permit visas for Bangladeshi artists will be issued. We hope to start shooting from October 26.”
