Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is set to comeback to the competitive cricket with the domestic T20 tournament, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), said it president Nazmul Hassan Papon.
Shakib’s ICC imposed-ban, that he is now serving for his failure to report corrupt approaches of the bookies, will be ended on October 28. Shakib will be eligible to play cricket from October 29.
“He (Shakib) will be eligible to play cricket from October 29. So he will play the domestic T20 tournament,” Papon said in Dhaka on Sunday.
The BCB has proved its ability by hosting the three-team one-day tournament, namely BCB President’s Cup amid Covid-19 pandemic.
The BCB President’s Cup has been successfully completed after Mahmudullah XI won the title.
Now BCB is going to organize a bigger tournament with T20 format by taking confidence from the BCB President’s Cup.
