New photographs have emerged from the hotel room in Thailand where Shane Warne died on Friday evening.

Thai police have revealed Warne was suffering chest pains before he flew from Australia for a holiday in Koh Samui.

The cricketing legend was pronounced dead by doctors in the Thai International Hospital on Friday night, after friends tried to revive him in his luxury villa hours earlier.

Thai police confirmed on Saturday that Warne’s family had advised them that the former Australian leg spinner had a history of asthma and heart disease.

Police Colonel Yuthana Sirisombat told reporters that they were informed about Warne’s history of heart disease and asthma by his family before he left Australia last week.

The Aussie cricket legend had recently “seen a doctor about his heart,” said Sirisombat.
