Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 shoot in Lucknow, junior artists complain

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has been creating buzz ever since it was announced. The film, also starring Ameesha Patel, is a sequel to the 2001 action film of the same name. Gadar 2 went on floors last year in December. While the first look of the movie had left fans excited, now Gadar 2 is in the news for a rather shocking reason.

As per reports, the cast of the film was supposed to start the Lucknow schedule by shooting a few scenes at La Martiniere College. However, ahead of the shoot, junior artistes created a ruckus alleging that the production team has not paid them. They also claimed that there were not given basic amenities. Reportedly, artistes were seen protesting outside the premises.

Around 150 artistes were called for a ‘camera rehearsal’, reported Etimes. After standing in the line for hours, they lost their cool and started creating a ruckus claiming that they were not paid for the same.

The report quoted a source as saying, “We have been here since morning and no one has told us what is happening. We have not even been offered a glass of water. Someone from the production house told us that we will have to work in the film and will not be paid anything. They have said that junior artistes like me will only be given food in lieu of payment. Why should we work for free? There are elderly people in the crowd, they should at least be taken care of.”
