The authorities concerned of the Ministry of Education yesterday announced that all the educational institutions across the country will remain closed today.
According to a report of private TV station News24, a sister concern of the daily Kalerkantho, the decision has been taken considering the safety reasons of the students.
The details in this connection are yet to be available.
Since Sunday, students of different colleges in the capital have been demanding the resignation of Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan and exemplary punishment of those involved in the Sunday’s road crash.
At least two students were killed and 12 others received injuries on Airport Road as a Jabal-e-Noor bus ploughed through a crowd, while competing with another bus of the same company on Sunday (July 29).
