Train services of Sylhet with other parts halted

The rail communication of Sylhet with rest of the country was suspended following a train derailment in Sreemangal upazila of Sylhet district on Saturday morning.

Sylhet GRP Station OC Md Alamgir said five bogies of the Sylhet-bound oil-laden train veered off the tracks at Satgaon Rail Station area at about 11:40am, halting the rail link of Dhaka-Sylhet and Sylhet-Chattogram.

Sreemangal Rail Station master Sakhawat Hosain said a salvage train has already started from Akhaura Junction. The rail link will be resumed after removing the derailed bogies
