Like its preliminary report, the probe committee formed to investigate into BRT Line 3 project accident in the capital’s Uttara on August 15, in its final report, held the Chinese contractor responsible for the incident.

ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, secretary of the Road Transport and Highway Division, revealed the findings of the probe committee at a press conference today (September 4, 2022).

The seven-member committee submitted their report on Thursday (September 1, 2022).

The secretary said the Roads and Highways Department, the hiring and procuring entity of the project, will now take action against the contractor as per the probe report.

The committee however said the project authorities did not have any role behind the particular incident.
