Vakeel Saab box office collection: Pawan Kalyan starrer estimated to have crossed opening day

Pawan Kalyan has returned to the big screen after a gap of three long years and the actor has already managed to create history at the box office by recording one of the biggest opening of all time for a Telugu film, even amidst a coronavirus pandemic. Early estimates suggest that Vakeel Saab has recorded an opening day share between Rs 31 to Rs 33 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu film Vakeel Saab has set the box office on fire, along with Tamil film Karnan. The analyst has added, “The cinema biz gets a massive boost when the combination – content and numbers – complement each other.”

For the unversed, Vakeel Saab is a courtroom drama, which is the remake of the 2016 Hindi film Pink. The film stars Pawan Kalyan, Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, and Shruthi Haasan in pivotal roles.

As per a reports, Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab has fared better than his previous three releases Agnyaathavasi, Katamaryudu and Sardaar Gabbar Singh, which recorded opening day share of Rs 27 crore, Rs 22 crore and Rs 21 crore respectively.

As per estimates, the film has broken the 6-year Baahubali Day 1 record in Macherla, while in Chittor it has crossed Rs 15.68 lakh and Rs 1.90 crore in Krishna district. However, these are just estimates and the official figures for the film are still awaited.
