Walton offers laptop at Tk 19,000

Local computer manufacturer Walton has launched its new laptop in tech market which is affordable in price and costs only 19,990 BDT. However, students can purchase the device on 5 percent discount which means the laptop will cost only 18,991 BDT.

The ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labelled low cost laptop, model no. WPR14N33SL of Walton’s Prelude R1 series, has been manufactured at its own production plant in Chandra of Gazipur with technology support from world’s tech giants Intel and Microsoft and country’s Bijoy Bangla. It is specially manufactured considering the purchasing ability of students and youths.

The attractively designed Silver color laptop features a 14.1-inch HD display, 1.1 gigahertz Intel Apollo lake N3350 processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Intel HD Graphics 500, 1 terabyte hard disk drive with 5000 mAh battery and HD camera.

One of the most amazing features of the laptop is its multi-language keyboard with built-in Bangla font which will help users to write in Bengali easily using the device, a press release e-mailed by Senior Assistant General Manager of Creative and Publications Department of Walton Group Augustin Sujan Barai has confirmed on Monday.

Abul Hasnat, Product Manager of Walton Computer, said currently they are offering 36 models of laptops, 6 models of desktop PCs, 2 models of full HD monitors along with various models of pen drives, gaming and standard keyboard and mouse.

Mentionable, customers can buy any Walton brand laptop and desktop PC at 12-month installment facility paying 20 percent down payment. Walton provides a maximum 2 years warranty for its all models of laptops while 3 years warranty for desktop PCs.
