Writ seeks directives to remove videos of Pori Moni-Saqlain

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking directives to remove videos and photoes of actor Pori Moni and DMP’s additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Golam Saqlain Sithil from all platforms.
At the same time, the court also sought instructions to remove all reports over the incident.
Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Tasmia Nuhaiya Ahmed filed the petition on Wednesday where the Information Ministry, BTRC and other concerned authorities have been made the respondents.
In the writ, Advocate Tasmia sought directives to remove offensive personal photoes, videos and reports from social media.
Earlier, a news has been published in the newspapers that Pori Moni stayed with the police official as long as 18 hours at his residence in the capital. The CCTV footage of it has also come in the hands of newsmen.
The video of birthday cake cutting got viral on social media–Facebook and YouTube– on August 10. It is being anticipated that the video was recorded on Saqlain’s birthday.
